What the prompt produced

A real tool, at its own web address

Sometimes the answer should not live inside Claude at all. This exact page — and the roadmap board the team uses — were both built from a prompt like the one below.

The prompt
“Build this as a standalone site and deploy it to Cloudflare Pages, behind Access so only our team can see it.”
⚠️This is a static example. Every figure on it is real Melinda Maria data, pulled from our own connectors on 1 September 2026 — but this page is a snapshot and will not change. The real thing re-pulls its numbers every time you open it.

Four things you get that an artifact cannot give you

This is the rung above a live artifact on the ladder
🌐
Its own address. You send someone a link, not a prompt. They never open Claude.
🔒
Our sign-in. Behind the same Google gate as everything else — only our team gets in.
👥
Everyone sees the same thing. One page, not a copy per person.
💾
It can remember. Drag a card, and it is still moved when your colleague opens it tomorrow.

The honest trade-off. A live artifact takes a sentence and exists in seconds. A standalone site takes a conversation, and somebody — realistically David — has to deploy it and put it behind the sign-in. Ask for an artifact first. Ask for a site when more than a handful of people need it, or when it has to remember something.
The full four-rung ladder — live artifact, standalone site, site with a database, custom connector — is walked through on the Live artifacts & reporting page.
