What the prompt produced

The one addition that makes a dashboard shareable

Claude puts a refresh control in the artifact's own header. Almost nobody finds it. Ask for one inside the dashboard and the person you shared it with can pull fresh numbers without messaging you to ask how.

The prompt
“Add a Refresh data button at the top of each section, and show the time it last pulled next to it.”
⚠️This is a static example. Every figure on it is real Melinda Maria data, pulled from our own connectors on 1 September 2026 — but this page is a snapshot and will not change. The real thing re-pulls its numbers every time you open it.

Note the pattern: a refresh control per section, each with its own last-pulled time. When one connector is slow or having a moment, you can see which half of the page is stale instead of distrusting all of it.
Say it every single time. It costs eight words in the prompt and it is the difference between a dashboard one person can use and one the whole team can. Add “and show when it last pulled” and nobody has to wonder whether they are looking at today.
