What is the ApparelMagic connector?

ApparelMagic is our ERP — the system of record that runs the business side of Melinda Maria: every sales order, every SKU and its inventory, every wholesale customer, every invoice, payment, purchase order, and shipment lives here. The ApparelMagic connector lets Claude read that system on your behalf, so instead of logging in and running a report you just ask a question and get the live answer.

📒 What it knows

Sales orders & order items, products/SKUs, inventory by warehouse, wholesale customers, invoices & payments, purchase orders, shipments, pick tickets, returns, credit memos — plus reference data like terms, ship methods, divisions, and the chart of accounts.

🔒 What it can't do

It is read-only — it can look at everything but cannot create, edit, cancel, or delete anything in ApparelMagic. Ask freely; you can't break a thing.

🧠 What makes it smart

About 45 read-only tools across 35 data areas. Beyond live lookups, it keeps a private history copy of orders, invoices, payments and fulfillment, so it can do real analysis — sales trends, run-rates, demand by SKU, customer account summaries — and answer fast.

Why it matters: ApparelMagic is the single source of truth for what we sold, to whom, for how much, and what we owe or are owed. This connector puts that truth one question away — for ops, finance, sales, and planning — without anyone learning the ERP's menus.

Connect it in about a minute

How to connect in three steps Open Settings then Connectors in Claude, find this connector and click Connect, then sign in once with the account noted below. Settings Profile Connectors Data controls 1 · Open Settings → Connectors MM This connectornot connected Connect 2 · Find it · click Connect you@melindamaria.com •••••••• Sign in ✓ 3 · Sign in once — done
In Claude: Settings → Connectors → find it → click Connect → sign in. It’s already added for the team, so this is a one-time, ~1-minute step (see “Which login” below).

The ApparelMagic connector is already set up in Claude for the team — you just switch it on and sign in. Takes about 30 seconds.

1
In Claude, open SettingsConnectors (or click the + in the message box → Connectors). Find ApparelMagic in the list — it's already there.
2
Click the + (or Connect) next to ApparelMagic.
3
When prompted, sign in with your Google work account (your @melindamaria.com email — the same one you use for Gmail & Drive). A personal Gmail won't work.
4
Approve the connection. It shows Connected — then type "Using ApparelMagic, run apparelmagic_health" — you should see ok: true.
🔑 Which login? You only ever sign in with your Melinda Maria Google work account. You never enter any ApparelMagic password or key — those are stored securely on our side.
Don't see it in your Connectors list? Ask David — it gets enabled once for the team, then appears for everyone to switch on.

How to ask — just say "use ApparelMagic…"

The connector is named ApparelMagic. The simplest way to make sure Claude uses it is to mention it in your request:

"Using ApparelMagic, <your question>."

You don't have to memorize tool names — plain English works. A few tips that get great results:

Be specific about the window

"…in the last 30 days", "…this quarter", "…for FY so far". Time frames make reports sharper.

Name the order #, SKU, or customer

"…for SKU N6428G", "…order 48", "…for customer Nordstrom". Concrete anchors = precise answers.

Ask for the format you want

"…as a table", "…make a PDF", "…give me the top 10", "…export to CSV". Claude will shape it.

Chain connectors in one ask

Combine tools: "match POs in ApparelMagic to receiving in ShipBob", "compare wholesale in ApparelMagic vs. NuORDER". See the multi-connector examples below.

Heads up on actions: the ApparelMagic connector itself only reads. But when you ask Claude to send an email, post to Slack, or create a task using our other connectors, it drafts it and asks you to confirm before anything goes out. Nothing is sent without your OK.

Example prompts — from quick lookups to full workflows

Copy these, tweak them, make them yours. They get more advanced as you go down. The label shows the level, and the line under each shows which connectors get involved.

History copy complete — but the ERP is youngThe history copy is fully loaded and verified (all 33 data areas; checked live Aug 5, 2026, with deleted-record reconciliation running every 6 hours). One important thing to know: ApparelMagic itself only goes back to mid-June 2026 — that's when MM went live on it, and there is no older data in the ERP. So a “last quarter” question can only cover from June 18, 2026 onward, and Claude now says so in every analytics answer (a coverage note lists any requested months that have no ERP data). For older wholesale history ask NuORDER; for online-store history ask Shopify or ShipHero.Working

Something looks wrong?

If a number seems off, a prompt errors out, or the connector says it can't reach ApparelMagic — tell David. Include what you asked and what you got back (a screenshot helps). Anomalies are worth flagging early.

Want a new capability or report?

Need a recurring report, a tool that does something it can't yet, or a specific workflow? Send the idea to David. Many things are quick to add — the connector is built to grow.

A couple of handy built-ins you can always run: apparelmagic_health (is it working?) and apparelmagic_sync_status (how complete is the history copy?). If health ever comes back not-ok, that's the thing to send David.

What is a live artifact and how to share it

Short version: a live artifact is a page Claude builds once and then refreshes every single time you open it — so a dashboard you ask for today is still accurate next month. Here is what one is, and the three ways to get it in front of your team.

📊 NEW — build live artifacts, dashboards & spreadsheets with this connector

A live artifact is a small interactive page Claude builds and saves for you — a dashboard, tracker, or report that pulls fresh data from this connector every time you open it, instead of being a frozen snapshot. In a Cowork session, just ask: “create a live artifact that…” — it lands in your Artifacts list, reusable forever, and its charts and tables refresh themselves on open.

Sharing with the team: artifacts are saved to your Claude account. Three easy ways to share: (1) ask Claude to export a snapshot (PDF, image, or .xlsx) and drop it in Slack; (2) send a teammate the prompt that built it — their copy fills with live data through their own connector sign-in; (3) for a permanent all-team dashboard, that’s the MM Intelligence project on the AI roadmap.

How it works — architecture

Here's the actual build, for anyone curious how the numbers reach you. You don't need any of this to use the connector — it just shows what's running under the hood (and why it's safe with real financials).

Self-hosted on Melinda Maria’s own Cloudflare account at apparelmagic-mcp.melindamaria.ai/mcp — the same hosting + Google sign-in pattern as our other connectors. All traffic over HTTPS/TLS.

Why a history mirror?

ApparelMagic is our system of record for finance and inventory, but its API is paged and rate-limited. The D1 copy lets Claude do real analysis (trends, totals, run-rates) fast — while live lookups stay exact for "right now" questions.

Rate-limit-aware

ApparelMagic caps requests at roughly 4 per second. The connector deliberately paces itself under that ceiling, so it never gets throttled or disrupts the ERP that the finance and ops teams rely on.

Read-only & hosted like our others

It can't change anything in ApparelMagic (writes are off), runs on our own Cloudflare account behind the same Google sign-in as every MM connector, and keeps the ERP key server-side — never in Claude.
